Tune Up Your Swing For Spring!
Mother Nature has cracked open her spring egg, and if you're still shaking off the winter rust, the yolk may be on you!

But fear not, help is at hand, right on the range at Princeton Golf Club. We have two--Count 'em: TWO--certified golf teaching professionals on staff to serve you.

In addition to our ever-reliable, steady Head Pro Tim Murphy, this year we have the services of the Visiting Professor of Golf. Yes, folks, our own Doug Dahl will be giving lessons at PGC this summer. He's primed and he's focused, and so is his video camera.

The only thing Doug likes as much as playing golf is teaching golf. So in 2003 he took the plunge, earning his certification at the qualifying school of the United States Golf Teachers Federation at the Country Club in McKinney, Texas, and starting down the raod to fulfilling a life-long ambition. The past three summers Doug has taught part-time at several locations, primarily Parkers Lake Golf Center in Plymouth and Lake Elmo Pines in Lake Elmo. Because he saw himself traveling around to ranges and courses that don't have regular teaching pros, he started calling himself the Visiting Professor of Golf. The fact that no one else calls him that deters him no in the least! :)

This summer our teaching pros will be offering special rates for PGC members, family rates, youth rates, and event participant rates. To kick off the year Doug is offereing "Saturday Specials" for league teams and couples during May. Get a half-hour lesson for two for just $25, and Doug will even memorialize the event on video. Butch Harmon should be so generous.

The first of these "Saturday Specials" will be this Saturday morning, the 12th. Times are available from 8am to noon. Reserve your time on the sign-up sheet in the Pro Shop. While you're there, grab the Professor's rate card. Flip the card over to cash in on the Professor's Practice Principles & Techniques. Refer to those as you practice, and you'll already be better than last year!

Here's to the endless quest for the lower handicap!!
